In a scene early on in Guy Ritchie’s reboot of Sherlock Holmes, Robert Downey Jr. and Rachel McAdams start generating on-screen chemistry, only to be interrupted by a dog fart.  The canine flatulence in question aptly sums up Sherlock Holmes.  Devoid of mystery, entertainment or wit, Ritchie has delivered a true stinker.
